IAP Worldwide Offering Facilities Management and Logistics Globally

IAP Worldwide Services increased its capabilities and the services available for clients when it acquired two entities in 2015. According to PRNewswire, IAPWS acquired Aberdeen-based, TCNS -Tactical Communications & Network Solutions business and DRS Technologies Inc., an Aviation and Logistics company in Oklahoma City. IAP Worldwide Services offers logistics, professional & technical services, and facilities management for a myriad of clients across the globe. With the acquisition of the two companies, IAP increased its solutions with options including aviation and communication technologies. The global logistics provider integrated the two entities into two units, the Aviation and Engineering, and the National Security Programs Unit.

Growth over the Years

The international services company has been in the logistics business for over 60 years and has handled projects of significant magnitude. Before IAPWS, there was Pan Am World Services that was responsible for the first space launch complex in America. The company developed and operated the Cape Canaveral complex and provided support for testing of over 2500 launches, and handled the facilities management, such as engineering services and airport master planning. Then came Johnson Controls Worldwide Services that became a leading provider of logistics for commercial facilities and military bases. By developing innovative solutions that were energy efficient, Johnson Controls grew its customer base exponentially, and it is how the company got into military services. When IAP Worldwide Services was founded as a specialized procurements and logistics business, it was contracted to provide generator supplies in Saudi Arabia for the US Army, and that is how it came to offer support for Operation Desert Storm.
