George Gascon is the District Attorney in San Francisco. He has been involved in numerous accusations by the rest of the officials who had served in the former position that Gascon is portraying as being not efficient. He served as chief at the Police Officer Association, which he is criticizing presently.
He has been recently accused by the former Police Officers Association as being racial and discriminating when he served as the boss at the same position. It is due to these reasons that George Gascon is supposed to respond to such allegations. It is true that there may be some unprofessional conduct in the force that Gascon is trying to uproot in the process.
He is however not ready to respond to such allegations because currently he is the DA and all individuals who are going against the law should be felt with according to the law. He is always fighting to streamline the police force so that the right procedures are followed when they are administering justice cases in San Francisco. He, therefore, has a strong feeling about making the place a hospitable place where every individual has the right to perform his duties perfectly well.
To counter and obstruct justice that Gascon is seeking out for, the former POA boss, Gary Delagnes has come up with various reasons to make Gascon Look like a pretender. He is an individual who is not having goodwill in performing his duties in the force. There have been allegations of racism and homophobia actions in the police force and DA Gascon ready and willing to fight such vices in the society.
It is, however, ironical to criticizers that words of reforming the force can be spoken by him. In his term, Delagnes, as the boss at POA he is well known for the 25 years that he served as being involved in verbal arguments but in the declaration is supposed to be viewed as the holy one. He goes on to recall about incidents that involve the DA on issues related to racism and that he even witnessed him raising tension in the bar in regards to African Americans. He drunk and after taking more than enough he lost control and started abusing the African, who was in the bar with them.

Shaygan Kheradpir Joins Coriant as the New CEO


Optical systems global giant, Coriant, recently named Shaygan Kheradpir as the new CEO of the company. Kheradpir will be taking over from former CEO and President Dan DiPietro. Kheradpir was one of Merlin Equity Partners’ board members before he accepted the position at Coriant.

Coriant is owned by Merlin Equity Partners. It was formed from the combination of three different networking companies namely Nokia Siemens (Germany), Tellabs (USA) and Sycamore Networks (USA). DiPietro was appointed in 2014 to help in the integration of Coriant with its new acquisition called Tellabs. As a neutral partner between the two companies, DiPietro was the perfect candidate for the job. The fact that Kheradpir was brought in to take over from DiPietro shows that Coriant has successfully completed the integration process and aims to move on to the next step.

Market Competition

As president and chairman of the Coriant board, Kheradpir will be instrumental in helping to stimulate growth in the company and oversee the development of new and innovative products. This will be vital if Coriant aims to become an industry leader and beat tough competition from Ciena, ZTE, Alcatel-Lucent, Infinera and Cisco.

Coriant has successfully won several deals with top key customers some of whom are international carriers. These include China Unicom, Telia Sonera International Carrier, NBN from Australia and BSNL. With these huge deals in place, Coriant is positive about its growth and development in the global scene.

The main task that faces Kheradpir as the new CEO is driving up new sales in order to meet target revenues. Current market requirements include hyperscale data centers, cloud infrastructure buildouts, mobile backhaul upgrades and multi terabit metro systems for service providers. The company is also preparing system upgrades in order to comfortably accommodate all 4G and 5G deployments.

Shaygan Kheradpir

Kheradpir is a telecom industry veteran with a 28-years working experience. He has acquired skills in his tenure in top executive and management positions in the telecom and financial industries. He started working at GTE in 1987. When GTE became Verizon, Kheradpir became its Chief Information Officer and VP. He was a key figure in the team that rolled out the FiOS program.

After Verizon, he joined Barclays and worked at the International banking institution from 2011 to 2013. He had a brief stint as the CEO of Juniper Networks before joining the board of Merlin Equity Partners. In September 2014, he was appointed as the new Boss of Coriant.

Stephen Murray was on August 2, 1962 in Brooklyn, New York and was raised mainly in North Tarrytown, New York. After the completion of his masters, Murray then went on to join the MH Equity Corporation, which was a combination of the private equity group and leverage financing units of Manufacturers Hanover. The company he worked with was eventually bought out by Chemical Bank in 1991 and eventually became Chemical Venture Partners.

Stephen P. Murray’s biggest claim to fame in his lifespan was being the president, CEO and co-founder of CCMP Capital, another private equity firm. Private equity and middle market leverage buyouts were a major strong point for Murray in his life and CCMP was originally founded in 2006, being mainly a spinoff of JP Morgan Partners at the time. After only being involved with CCMP for a year, Murray was promoted to the CEO of the company in 2007 and not only maintained its success over time but exceeded it, with the company raising $3.6 billion in funds that year.

Though economics was a strength for Stephen Murray, he was also a known donor and philanthropist in his spare time. For example, Murray was a staunch supporter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation in New York’s metropolitan area, even going so far as being a member of the chairman’s council of the group.

In addition, he was also very heavily involved at his alma mater, Boston College, not just supporting his school but volunteering to be the vice chairman on the college’s board of trustees. He also donated to and supported causes for the Stamford Museum and the Columbia Business School.
